For years, gamers have dreamed of a single device that could play exclusive titles from every major platform, ending the long-standing console wars. A Chinese modder has turned this dream into reality with an incredible project named the Ningtendo PXBOX 5. This custom-built, all-in-one gaming console masterfully combines the hardware of a PlayStation 5, an Xbox Series X, and a Nintendo Switch into a single, elegant chassis, leaving tech enthusiasts and gamers in awe.
The Making of This Incredible All-in-One Gaming Console
Like many great inventions, the Ningtendo PXBOX 5 was born from a personal need. The modder, known as “XNZ,” grew tired of constantly switching devices to play different platform-exclusive games. This frustration led to the ambitious idea of uniting all major consoles under one roof, aiming to save space and create a more practical gaming experience. Consequently, the three most powerful consoles on the market—the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch—became the focus of this project.
The first step involved completely disassembling these complex machines. XNZ stripped away the casings, power supplies, and cooling systems of each console, focusing solely on their motherboards. This was a delicate phase, as each motherboard has a unique architecture, power requirement, and heat profile. Integrating three different hardware systems to work harmoniously in one case required significant engineering and design expertise.

An Engineering Marvel: Cooling and Power Management
Fitting the motherboards of three powerful consoles into a compact space introduced a massive heating problem. High-performance systems like the PS5 and Xbox Series X generate intense heat. To solve this, XNZ went beyond conventional methods and designed a completely custom cooling system. At the heart of the project is a massive, triangular metal cooling block.
Instead of modern CNC machines, this block was created using a more traditional and artistic method known as “lost wax casting.” This ancient technique allowed for the creation of a large, complex metal part in a single piece at a lower cost. Furthermore, the cooling system’s most impressive feature is its use of a single large fan to cool all three consoles. While custom copper contact plates were used for the PS5 and Xbox motherboards, the much lower-power Nintendo Switch was integrated without needing additional cooling. This ingenious design is a triumph of both efficiency and silence.
Seamless Design and User Experience
The Ningtendo PXBOX 5 stands out not only for its technical specifications but also for its aesthetic and user-friendly design. The final device looks professionally manufactured, as if it came directly from a factory. Modder XNZ eliminated cable clutter by using a single 250W power supply for the entire system, which is possible because only one console can be operated at a time.
Switching between consoles is remarkably simple. A large button on the case is connected to a custom Arduino-based control board. Pressing this button instantly transfers power from one console to the next. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch’s dock mode is fully integrated, allowing the console to be easily inserted and removed. In conclusion, the Ningtendo PXBOX 5 is a groundbreaking achievement in the modding world, offering both a technical masterpiece and a practical solution for the end-user.
