Amazon has officially launched 1-hour and 3-hour delivery options for select products. This new feature ensures that essentials like paper towels, personal care items, and over-the-counter medications reach your doorstep in record time. Currently available in more than 2,000 cities, this ultra-fast delivery service is not yet available in Turkey.
1-Hour Delivery Exclusive to Amazon Prime Members
This rapid service comes with a notable price tag. Prime members pay $9.99 for 1-hour delivery and $4.99 for 3-hour delivery. For non-Prime users, the cost rises to $19.99 for 1-hour and $14.99 for 3-hour delivery. Available seven days a week, these orders are dispatched from existing same-day fulfillment centers.

The new system has no minimum spend requirements; however, the delivery fees can sometimes exceed the price of the product itself. Amazon stated that over 90,000 products are eligible for these new delivery options. Users can easily locate these items using search filters or via a dedicated storefront page.
Competitive Landscape: Amazon vs. DoorDash and Walmart+
While this system is incredibly useful for emergencies or when one is too ill to leave the house, competitors like DoorDash and Walmart+ often offer free delivery through more affordable subscription tiers. Amazon’s primary advantage over these rivals is the absence of a tipping requirement, which simplifies the final checkout price.
