Renault Reveals Pricing and Specs for Updated Megane E-Tech
Renault has officially announced the European market pricing and comprehensive technical updates for its popular electric model, the Renault Megane E-Tech. Following a reveal in June, the refreshed vehicle introduces significant enhancements to battery architecture and exterior styling, aiming to bolster its competitive position in the compact EV segment. With a new 67 kWh LFP battery pack at its core, the updated model promises improved efficiency, longer range, and faster charging capabilities. New Battery Technology Improves Performance
The transition to LFP battery technology represents a major milestone for the Megane E-Tech. This 67 kWh battery pack is engineered to deliver a WLTP-rated range of up to 501 kilometers on a single charge. Power is delivered via a front-mounted electric motor producing 220 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, ensuring a responsive driving experience. 
Charging efficiency has also seen a substantial upgrade. The DC fast-charging capacity has been increased by 25% compared to previous iterations, allowing the battery to jump from 15% to 80% in just 24 minutes. 
To assist in diverse weather conditions, all models now come standard with a heat pump and a battery pre-conditioning system. Users can select between standard 11 kW AC charging or an optional 22 kW system, while regenerative braking is managed via steering wheel paddles.
Refreshed Design Enhances Visual Appeal
Renault has overhauled the front fascia of the Megane E-Tech to provide a more modern aesthetic. The redesign includes distinctive diamond-pattern daytime running lights and a restructured bumper. 
The iconic Renault logo has been relocated to a position beneath the hood, contributing to a cleaner front-end look. At the rear, the vehicle features upgraded three-dimensional full-width tail lamps that emphasize its contemporary character.
The interior remains a highlight, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch vertical multimedia display powered by the OpenR link system. 
Renault plans to integrate a Gemini-based artificial intelligence assistant into this interface, and the cabin now includes a cooled Qi2 wireless charging pad for mobile devices.
Simplified Trim Levels Define Strategy
Renault has streamlined its offering into two distinct equipment packages. The Techno trim, starting at 34,990 euros, includes a leather-effect dashboard, a heated steering wheel, and a digital rear-view camera. The higher-spec Esprit Alpine trim, priced from 37,990 euros, incorporates 20-inch wheels, power-adjustable seats with massage functions, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system.
As the company prepares for the 2026 launch in Turkey, the brand is emphasizing its sophisticated route planner, which assists drivers in managing charging stops during long-distance travel. With seven exterior color options, including the new Satin Slate Blue, the model maintains a practical 439-liter trunk capacity while offering enhanced driver assistance packages.
