MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 Connects Global Manufacturing Leaders in Istanbul
Organized by Tüyap in collaboration with TİAD and supported by the Turkish Ministry of Trade and MİB, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 officially opened its doors in Istanbul to showcase the latest advancements in production technologies. As the 9th International Machine Tools, Metal-Sheet Processing, and Manufacturing Technologies Exhibition, the event serves as a critical nexus for global industry players. Taking place at the Tüyap Fair and Convention Center from September 28 to October 3, 2026, the fair gathers leading manufacturers, software developers, and engineering experts to discuss the future of the sector, boost export capacities, and foster new international commercial partnerships under the overarching theme of global production innovation.
- The exhibition features over 1,300 companies and 156 direct international participants across a 120,000-square-meter area.
- Foreign visitor numbers show a 30 percent increase compared to the previous edition according to online registration data.
- A specialized Hosted Buyer Program facilitates direct meetings between 200 international buyers from 18 different countries and local exhibitors.
- The event highlights a massive inventory of 1,208 machines and 132 robots, many of which are being introduced to the Turkish market for the first time.

During the opening ceremony, high-level representatives from organizations such as TİM, İSO, and MAKFED highlighted the strategic role of MAKTEK Eurasia in elevating the visibility of the Turkish manufacturing sector. İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of Tüyap, noted that the fair has expanded significantly, providing a vital gateway for businesses looking to penetrate both the Turkish market and the broader Eurasian geography. 
The diverse array of technologies on display, ranging from defense and automotive solutions to advanced robotics, underscores the event’s influence on the future of industrial production.
Technological Transformation Redefines Global Competition
Industry experts underscored that mechanical power alone is no longer sufficient to maintain a competitive edge in the global market. TİAD President Murat Akyüz stated that the fair serves as a strategic showcase for Turkish engineering, highlighting the integration of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and digital twins. 
MİB President Osman Fatih İğrek added that the convergence of software, automation, and data usage has become an inseparable part of modern machinery production, necessitating new collaborative investment strategies.
International Engagement Continues to Expand
The event has successfully solidified its status as an international hub, attracting participants from countries including Germany, the United States, South Korea, and Italy. 
The inclusion of the Hosted Buyer Program, which brings together delegations from 18 countries, aims to convert professional encounters into long-term trade agreements. Furthermore, the partnership with MTD CNC ensures that the technological prowess of exhibitors is broadcasted to a global audience, extending the impact of the fair well beyond its closing date.
