Nothing is continuing preparations for its new flagship, the Phone (3), without slowing down. CEO Carl Pei’s statements and the official posters released so far have clarified many details about the device. The latest developments reveal the smartphone’s launch date and key features. Here are the details!
Nothing Phone (3) will be launched on July 1
According to a post by Gadget Bits on X, the Nothing Phone 3 will feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display. This marks a significant upgrade compared to the 1080p screen on the Phone 2 and the larger but lower-resolution panel on the Phone 3a Pro. With this, the Phone 3 is expected to offer flagship-level display quality with sharp visuals and dynamic refresh rates.
The camera setup also sees notable improvements. Leaks suggest that the Phone 3 will come with a triple 50 MP camera system: a main lens, an ultra-wide lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens. This is a big step up from the dual cameras on the Phone 2 and even more powerful than the Phone 3a Pro, which featured a 50 MP main/periscope combo but only an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor. The 50 MP front camera also represents a major upgrade from the 32 MP selfie camera on the Phone 2.
Battery capacity is also increasing, with the Phone 3 reportedly packing a 5,150 mAh battery. The standout, however, is the 100W wired charging support—if true, this far surpasses the 45W on the Phone 2 and 50W on the 3a Pro. Wireless and reverse wireless charging, eSIM, and NFC support are also included.
Additionally, the Phone 3 is expected to launch with Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.5. The company is also upgrading its software policy with five years of Android updates and seven years of security updates, surpassing the Phone 2’s support timeline.
While it may not feature the latest chipset, the Nothing Phone 3 appears to be a powerful overall package. With major upgrades in display, camera, charging speed, and software support, it could be the brand’s most impressive phone to date. However, the decision to replace the iconic Glyph Interface with the new Glyph Matrix system may not sit well with some fans. The device is expected to be officially unveiled on July 1.
