The success of this endeavor could mark a significant advancement in cancer diagnosis. This artificial intelligence model will encompass nearly four million microscopic slides of cancer types. According to statements from Microsoft and Paige, this model undergoes training with billions of images.
Traditionally, pathologists diagnose cancer through tissue examination on glass slides. However, even the slightest oversight in these examinations can lead to incorrect diagnoses. Researchers aim to overcome such issues with the new AI model.
