TRT comes to Spanish
The new digital news channel TRT Spanish was announced at the “ TRT Spanish Speaking Countries 1st Broadcasting Summit ” event held in Istanbul. On the first day of this summit, which will last between 25 and 26 April, journalists from many countries, including Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peri, Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia, participated.
TRT currently has TRT World, TRT Arabic, TRT Russian, TRT German, TRT French, TRT Balkan and TRT Afrika channels. With the inclusion of TRT Spanish among these, TRT’s service map in the international arena will expand. There is no clear date as to when the new channel will start broadcasting.
In May 2023, TRT also launched the TRT course platform, which rivals digital streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney +. With this platform, the institution aims to meet the global interest and demand for Turkish TV series and films. TRT’s natural library has a wide range of content options, from green pine movies to modern productions.
