Google is adding a light gray color option to its next-generation wireless earbuds, the Pixel Buds Pro 2. This color, called Moonstone, will be introduced alongside the Pixel 10 series, scheduled for next month. This change in design adds to the Pixel Buds Pro 2’s visual variety. Leaks indicate that the earbuds’ specifications have not been updated.
New color coming for Buds Pro 2
The Pixel Buds Pro 2, introduced last year, still uses Google’s Tensor A1 chip. Equipped with custom 11mm drivers, the earbuds feature active noise cancellation, Silent Seal 2.0 technology, spatial audio by tracking head movements, and support for the Gemini AI assistant. There’s no change in battery life either. They offer up to 8 hours of use with ANC on and up to 30 hours in total with the charging case.
Pricing remains unchanged with the new color option. The Pixel Buds Pro 2’s Moonstone color will be available for $229, just like the current model. Google is expected to unveil this new variant at the same event as the Pixel 10 phones. Images of the device were shared by reliable leaker Evan Blass.
The availability of the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in this new color further demonstrates Google’s commitment to ecosystem integrity. Designed to complement the Pixel 10 series’ design, the Moonstone color creates a visual connection between the earbuds and the phone.
