A new era in transportation! Cargo UAV drone concept introduced

Ana sayfa / News

DJI Express has introduced a drone concept designed for efficient intercity transportation. This drone is capable of carrying out cargo and material deliveries over short intercity distances without the need for a driver.

DJI Express will take on the role of a delivery agent, utilizing drone airports in cities to complete deliveries quickly and easily over long distances. Created by Chinese designer Qingsheng Meng, the DJI Express drone concept differs from existing drones in its format.

Unlike most quadcopter-type aerial devices, DJI Express is designed as a winged eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing vehicle), capable of covering longer distances that a typical aircraft can fly.

The world’s smallest UAV has been developed! Weighing only 70 grams

The Black Hornet 4 is a palm-sized UAV designed for military reconnaissance and battlefield surveillance, heralding a new era.

This unmanned aerial vehicle is completely remotely controlled, relying on a series of sensors for route mapping and obstacle detection, as well as a large camera unit at the front, allowing the pilot to see the surroundings while maneuvering.

Features of the DJI Express Drone The design of the drone can be divided into several groups: A winged aircraft, propellers on both sides, a high-definition camera mounted on a 2-axis gimbal at the front for ‘vision’, a battery module on top of the aircraft’s body, and cargo load at the bottom.

Lastly, there’s a special propeller at the tail for steering and stability. The close-up view of the drone’s top section reveals a detachable battery with an easily removable handle, designed for changing battery cells during the delivery cycle.

The drone also has its charging port, enabling the feature to charge battery packs. The design of the DJI Express Drone also includes a well-ventilated body, ensuring rapid cooling of motors and batteries during flight.

Cool air passing through the body of the drone helps maintain optimal temperatures during flight, contributing to the battery’s health for longer journeys. DJI already has a delivery drone in its business portfolio – the Flycart 30.

However, Flycart still has a quadcopter-style design, limiting its capability in intercity cargo deliveries. DJI Express Drone presents a new solution in the area of cargo delivery for short intercity travels, offering an alternative approach to traditional transportation methods.
