Google is introducing a new feature called “Collections” for Android users, designed to keep you more engaged with your apps. This feature, unveiled at this year’s Google I/O developer conference, allows users to interact more with the apps on their devices. What exactly does this feature do?

The “Collections” feature allows you to follow the most important updates and content from your apps directly from your Android home screen. Discovered through an APK review by Android Authority, this feature was previously known by the codename “Cubes.” It uses a Play Store-supported widget to organize app updates into categories like “Watch,” “Listen,” “Read,” “Games,” “Social,” and “Shopping.”

For example, a widget on your home screen will automatically organize the best and most popular content from the apps installed on your device, inviting you to return to your apps. Instead of just sending notifications, the apps will also be displayed in a window on your home screen.

Google Chrome introduces 5 new features to make your life easier

Google Chrome has introduced 5 new features in its latest update that you can use while browsing the internet.

Google Chrome’s popular feature is coming to Android!
For instance, online shopping apps can remind you of items in your cart, encouraging you to continue your shopping journey. Food apps might invite you to order your favorite meal, Reddit can encourage you to read and vote on interesting posts, and Spotify might highlight your favorite playlists.

Google has stated that developers can use the Collections feature to offer “personalized recommendations and promotions,” making it easier to discover other content and opportunities you might have missed. This feature will initially be available in the US and will be rolled out to other markets afterward. It can also be easily accessed through a shortcut by long-pressing the Play Store app.

Google announced that the Collections feature would start rolling out to Android devices later this year. It is expected to be officially introduced at the “Made by Google” event in August.
