Lara Croft, who we can call the sultan of hearts in the game world, has not had a new game for a very long time. We last saw her in 2018 with Shadof of the Tomb Raider. Now, according to new developments, a new game may be coming!
“Very important news” about the Tomb Raider franchise
A new update to the game’s official website invites players to sign up to be the first to hear breaking news about the series, including rewards, exclusives, merchandise, releases and more.
The “releases” mentioned here refer to, you guessed it, the release of a new game. Pairing the timing of the site’s sudden update with rumors that Crystal Dynamics is preparing to make an announcement later this year, and given that the developer is preparing to reveal a new game, it’s very possible that we could see a new Tomb Raider game.
The series was previously developed by Square Enix. So the game’s community links are always linked there. The new developer, Crystal Dynamics, is also trying to cut that link. Gamescom 2023, where games coming in late 2023 and 2024 will be unveiled, is just around the corner. In fact, it will take place tomorrow. We’re likely to see something of the new Tomb Raider game at this event.
