One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S23 series is live
The company has been openly beta testing Android 16 on the Galaxy S24 and S25 for several weeks. Now, this testing program extends to the Galaxy S23. The new update brings the latest One UI interface and Android version. It also includes the September 2025 security patch.
The One UI 8 beta adds dozens of new features to the Galaxy S23 series. These include a revamped Quick Share with a full-screen and intuitive design, a redesigned Samsung Internet browser, and improved AI Select features.
It also offers an all-new Samsung DeX experience with screen rotation options. The Calendar and Reminders apps have also been improved. The update also includes a more secure version of Secure Folder and a refreshed design for the standard Weather app.
Users who want to participate in the beta program should open the Samsung Members app, tap “Beta” in the “Beta Program” menu, and then “Sign Up” to join.
The update also brings several small but significant changes that will further improve the user experience. Split-screen view is now more user-friendly, and managing reminders in the Calendar app is also easier.
