Digital Chat Station, known for reliable leaks, revealed some technical information about the standard model, Turbo 5. The device is expected to launch in China at the beginning of 2026. The Pro model of the series might be released globally under the name POCO F8, while the Turbo 5 could be marketed as the POCO X8 Pro internationally.
What will the Redmi Turbo 5 offer?
The Redmi Turbo 5 is being tested with a 6.6-inch display featuring a 1.5K resolution. It is said to come with a design that improves grip comfort. The phone’s chassis will also see some changes — it will likely feature a metal mid-frame instead of plastic.
The predecessor, Turbo 4, launched with a 6,550 mAh battery and 90W fast charging support. The upcoming model is expected to have a similarly high-capacity battery, probably over 7,000 mAh, while maintaining a thinner body compared to its predecessor.
As for the Turbo 5 Pro version, it will reportedly come with an even larger battery, exceeding 8,000 mAh. The Pro model is planned for launch in the second quarter of 2026, later than the standard model.
