A revolutionary Tesla feature has been released

Tesla is preparing to finally release the v14 update for its long-awaited Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver assistance system to users. CEO Elon Musk stated that the new version feels “almost lifelike.”

Tesla attributes the slowdown in updates to its focus on the Robotaxi program in Austin, Texas. The company plans to share this major FSD v14 update, based on advancements in the software developed for Robotaxi, with users.

FSD v13 was released for HW4-equipped vehicles at the end of last year. However, no significant new FSD updates have been released through 2025. HW3 owners are still stuck with v12 and are not expecting a significant update.

According to Musk, the FSD v14 update will be widely released next week. The CEO detailed the rollout plan for the updates, stating: “Version 14.0 will be widely released next week, followed by 14.1 and finally 14.2 in about two weeks. With 14.2, the vehicle will feel almost lifelike.”

However, any Tesla model using HW3 hardware is not expected to receive the full scope of FSD v14, as Musk previously admitted that HW3 hardware was insufficient for advanced features.

With FSD v14, Tesla is advancing the driverless experience. At the core of the new update is an artificial intelligence model with ten times more parameters than previous versions. This will allow the vehicle to process environmental data in greater detail and exhibit reflexes closer to those of human drivers.
