Lenovo’s long-developed rollable laptop, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, has launched with a price tag of $3,299. First unveiled at CES 2025, the device attracted attention with its display technology. As Lenovo’s first commercially available “rollable” laptop, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 combines portability and a large screen size in a single body.

The device’s 14-inch OLED panel extends vertically from the top of the screen, reaching 16.7 inches. This design eliminates the wrinkling and marking problems common with foldable display technology.

Lenovo’s next-generation design combines the physical transformation of the display with high-end technical specifications. The panel offers a resolution of 2000 x 2350 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits of brightness. It also supports 100% DCI-P3 for color accuracy.

The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 features Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It also offers the latest wireless connectivity standards with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. The device’s input and output ports include a headphone-microphone combo jack and two Type-C ports with Thunderbolt support.

On the hardware front, Lenovo opted for the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, focusing on efficiency over performance. This processor offers a total of 8 cores (four performance and four efficiency cores) and can reach frequencies up to 4.8 GHz.

An integrated Intel Arc 140V solution is used for graphics. The device comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and has a 66Wh battery. Power is provided by a 65W Type-C adapter.

Lenovo states that the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 is an experimental model that deviates from the traditional laptop form factor. The device, which is being mass-produced in limited numbers, is said to be a technological preview that will guide the brand’s future product strategy.
