Abxylute E1 handheld is a reworked RX6H with better internals

Ana sayfa / News

The newly announced Abxylute E1 may look fresh, but fans of retro handhelds have seen this design before. That’s because the E1 isn’t an original chassis, it’s a rebranded and upgraded take on the Game Console RX6H, a sub-$40 device launched earlier this year. Priced at $69, the E1 is now Abxylute’s most affordable handheld to date.

If you’ve been tracking the handheld scene, the resemblance is obvious. The Abxylute E1 and RX6H are visually identical, right down to the button layout, port placement, and screen size. Both devices feature:

The only notable design difference lies under the hood and that’s where the E1 pulls ahead.

The Game Awards statue likely teases Divinity 3 from Larian Studios

Trademarks and art tied to The Game Awards suggest Larian Studios is preparing to announce Divinity 3, their follow-up to Baldur’s Gate 3.

Where the RX6H runs on the Rockchip RK3326 with 1GB of RAM, the Abxylute E1 steps things up. It uses a Rockchip RK3566, a more capable quad-core chip with Cortex-A55 cores (compared to the RX6H’s Cortex-A35). Alongside 2GB of RAM, this makes a real difference in emulation and UI performance.

This bump in power gives the E1 a clear edge when handling more demanding retro titles or smoother system navigation. While it won’t match premium handhelds, it’s a practical upgrade for users looking to play PS1 or even some early PSP titles.

Aside from the upgraded RAM and CPU, most of the specs remain identical to the RX6H. Both run different operating systems, but that’s expected given the companies behind them. The core experience is nearly the same in form, but the Abxylute E1 offers a stronger baseline for emulation.

The Abxylute E1 might not break new ground in design, but its internal improvements make it more than just a clone. For $69, it fills a niche between budget handhelds and higher-end devices, ideal for gamers who want more muscle without spending triple digits. Familiar? Absolutely. But it’s smarter where it counts.
