Xiaomi may be planning to add an affordable option to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered 14 series. Work has accelerated for the phone, which is thought to be called Xiaomi 14 Lite. New reports claim that the device will be released soon.
When will Xiaomi 14 Lite be released?
A device with model number 24053PY09I has received certification in India. This suggests an affordable alternative to the most powerful Xiaomi lineup. This model is also expected to be offered in the Chinese market as the Xiaomi Civi 4.
Xiaomi has previously released Civi series phones under the ‘Lite’ brand in the global market. For example, the Civi 2 was renamed Xiaomi 13 Lite when it was launched outside China. It is thought that a similar scenario will be valid for the Civi 4 model.
Xiaomi 14 Lite specifications are expected to be similar to the Civi 4. Accordingly, there is a curved OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Dual front cameras with LED flash and a 50 Megapixel main rear camera with OIS support are also among the leaked features. It is also rumored that the device will be powered by a 5000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
Smart Pikachu, known for its leaks in the industry, has revealed the launch date of the upcoming Civi 4 model. Accordingly, the smartphone will be unveiled the same month as its predecessor, the Xiaomi Civi 3, which was introduced last year. This corresponds to May.
