OnePlus continues its efforts to increase its market share in the smartphone industry. The Chinese brand recently introduced the Ace 3, and in the coming days, it will release the 12 and 12R models. Most recently, the brand’s budget-friendly flagship, the OnePlus 12R, achieved a significant milestone ahead of its unveiling. Here is the release date, features, and much more about the OnePlus 12R!
OnePlus 12R received a TDRA certificate
The OnePlus 12R appeared in the TDRA database with the model number CPH2609. While the listing does not reveal any features of the phone, it sheds light on the final details before the launch. The OnePlus 12R release date is set for January 23.
As is known, rebranding among Chinese brands is quite common. At this point, it is said that the OnePlus 12R will be a globally appealing rebranded version of the recently introduced Ace 3. This means that although the names and designs of the smartphones may be different, they will fundamentally have the same technical specifications. However, there are indications of some technical differences, especially in the camera department.
The model will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the panel will offer a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The 4nm architecture chip includes 1x 3.36 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, and 3x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, along with an Adreno graphics unit.
On the back, there will be a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel IMX890 main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, a 16-megapixel selfie camera will be present.
