The countdown has begun for the upcoming Google Pixel 9a, which is set to be revealed soon. The smartphone has already been the subject of numerous leaks, and recent developments have brought its performance test results to light.
What will the Google Pixel 9a offer?
The Google Pixel 9a recently underwent Geekbench tests. In the single-core tests, it scored 1,530 points, while the multi-core tests resulted in 3,344 points. Additionally, some of its features have been indirectly revealed.
The prototype tested on Geekbench is powered by the Tensor G4 processor. Furthermore, it will run Android 15 out of the box. In addition, the phone achieved 1,049,844 points in AnTuTu tests.
The Google Pixel 9a was spotted in real life recently, eliminating all design-related uncertainties. The product sports a different look from its predecessors, with a pill-shaped camera setup placed in the top left corner of the rear panel, instead of the horizontal camera bar seen on earlier models.
On the front, there will be no changes. The phone will feature an above-average screen-to-body ratio, following the industry standard, and it will come with a punch-hole display design.
The phone will offer 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, along with 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage options. The panel will be 6.2 inches, boasting 1,800 nits of HDR brightness, 2,700 nits of peak brightness, and OLED technology. On the camera front, it will include a 48 MP f/1.7 main camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13 MP Sony IMX712 selfie camera.
The device will be available for pre-order on March 19, 2025, and will be released on March 26, 2025. Additionally, it will offer three months of Google One (100GB), YouTube Premium, and six months of Fitbit Premium subscription.
