HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia phones, continues to introduce its own models. The company, which previously debuted with the Pulse series, has now unveiled its device targeting the affordable market. The HMD Aura features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch and 900×1600 resolution. It is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A1 chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. This 28nm architecture processor scores around 160 on single-core and 725 on multi-core in Geekbench 6. This shows that it can perform basic functions.
One of the most striking points of Aura was its battery life. HMD has included a 5000mAh battery, claiming that it will offer close to two days of use on a single charge. This battery, which supports 10W fast charging, will be fed from the USB Type-C port.
Other features include a physical fingerprint sensor on the back and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device has a dual camera setup and comes with a 13 Megapixel main camera. The front camera with a waterdrop notch has a resolution of 5 Megapixels.
HMD Aura will be available in Ice Green and Indigo Black color options. The pricing of the device, which will come out of the box with Android 13, is determined as 120 dollars. The smartphone, which is cheaper than the Pulse series, will appeal to entry-level users.
