Affordable Xbox Cloud Gaming subscription coming

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft is taking a new step to bring its Xbox Cloud Gaming service to a wider audience. The company is working on a more affordable subscription plan focused solely on cloud gaming.

This development was revealed by statements from Xbox’s next-generation president, Jason Ronald. Ronald stated on the Xbox podcast that many users use their Game Pass Ultimate subscription solely to access cloud gaming. Ronald stated that this creates an opportunity to make the service more affordable and expand into new regions.

Currently, Xbox Cloud Gaming is included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate package, which sells for $19.99 per month. This means users who are only interested in cloud gaming will have to pay the same for other services they don’t want.

Ronald’s comments clearly indicate that Microsoft is considering changing this. While he didn’t directly confirm it, it’s clear that a cheaper subscription plan specifically for cloud gaming is on the way.

This new plan will offer an attractive option for gamers who have a strong internet connection but don’t want to buy a game console. This aims to bring more gamers into the cloud gaming ecosystem.

The service’s reliance on a single package has, until now, made it difficult for many gamers to access cloud gaming. The $20 price tag was particularly high for users who only wanted to play games on the cloud.

The introduction of a more affordable plan will not only expand into new regions but also provide easier access to the platform for mobile users. The presence of competitors like Nvidia’s GeForce Now in the market is pushing Microsoft to be more flexible in this area. A cheaper model is seen as a move that will balance the competition and offer more options for gamers.
