Ana sayfa / Headphones

Apple is reportedly gearing up to introduce a USB-C case for the AirPods Pro, in tandem with the iPhone 15 debut this fall. This novel shift from the Lightning port to the USB-C is being unveiled. It’s part of the revelations in Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter. Gurman also mentions Apple’s exploration of a unique hearing test feature to supplement the iOS 17 AirPods features already announced at the WWDC.

The ear and beyond

This new hearing test feature would play a variety of tones into the user’s ear. Also user responses to these tones would allow for preliminary screening of potential hearing issues. This mechanism, designed to facilitate early detection of hearing problems, mirrors the Apple Watch ECG app’s role in monitoring heart health

Healthcare in your ear

Delving deeper into health-oriented functionalities, Gurman also hints at Apple’s long-term plan of incorporating additional health sensors into the AirPods hardware. One such intriguing possibility is a body temperature sensor located in the ear canal.

Adapting to the noise

Apple had previously shared that the AirPods Pro would be receiving an Adaptive Audio feature later in the year. This function intelligently alternates between Transparency and Noise Cancelling modes, contingent on the surrounding environmental noise.

It’s fascinating to observe how technology continues to push boundaries, intertwining entertainment, communication, and health monitoring in a single device. As we anticipate these new features, what are your thoughts? Do you believe that integrating health sensors into our everyday devices will be beneficial? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below!
