All iPhone 16 models will be powered by 3nm A18 Pro

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

Apple offered four devices in the iPhone 15 series, but the Pro and Pro Max models featured much more advanced features. For example, the iPhone 15 and Plus used the older generation A16 Bionic, while the Pro versions switched to the A17 Pro chip. However, it is rumored that Apple will not continue this tradition with iPhone 16.

All iPhone 16s will use 3nm A18 Pro

Apple seems to be reversing the chip strategy it started with the iPhone 14 series. If new predictions are correct, all four iPhone 16 models launching in 2024 will be powered by the same chipset (A18 Pro).

New leaks from China claim that Apple will close the gap between the iPhone 16 models. Analysts claimed that the A18 Pro will power all models. Accordingly, the chip will be manufactured by TSMC and will be a 3nm chip.

Wait, what? Xiaomi and Vivo developing their own OS to replace Android

Leaks from China showed that Xiaomi and Vivo devices will switch to their own operating systems instead of Android.

For those who don’t know, Apple first didn’t equip all iPhone models with the same processor in 2022. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max were powered by the 4nm A16 Bionic, while the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus were based on the previous year’s 5nm A15 Bionic chip.

The company continued this trend in 2023, but equipped the iPhone 15 Pro series with a processor built on a 3nm chip it calls the A17 Pro. iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are powered by the A16 Bionic.

Apple may be returning to its old strategy by standardizing on the A18 Pro for the four iPhone 16s. This will close the performance gap between iPhone models and allow them to stand out with features such as camera and display.
