All messages are collected in WhatsApp!

Ana sayfa / Social Media

Meta is opening up its social media apps to all platforms. WhatsApp and Messenger will work with third-party messaging services. Accordingly, it will be possible to see messages from different apps in WhatsApp and Messenger.

Meta, which owns WhatsApp and Messenger, has announced that it will support third-party apps. The move comes in response to the European Union’s Digital Markets Act, which is designed to reduce the market dominance of big companies. It will therefore only be available in Europe.

Meta will allow WhatsApp and Messenger users in Europe to receive messages from other platforms. Accordingly, the company also shared screenshots revealing what the new “third-party chat” functionality will look like.

Huawei overtakes Apple and Samsung

Huawei became the leader in the wearable technology market in the last quarter. Accordingly, it overtook Apple, Xiaomi and Samsung.

WhatsApp and Messenger users will be able to choose which third-party apps they want to receive messages from and customize their notifications. Third-party chats can also be integrated into the main chat lists. Thus, it will be possible to see all chats from a single screen

Meta said that third-party chats will support features such as reactions, responses and read receipts. It plans to add group chat functionality next year and audio/video calls by 2027.

The company will work closely with third-party services to ensure that user privacy is not compromised. Of course, other platforms will also need to implement the necessary protocols to enable this feature. Changes limited to Europe for now due to requirements.
