Samsung promises 6-7 years of updates for its recent phones, but older models don’t benefit from this support. This raises questions among users like “How many years will my phone receive updates?” So, which models currently receive software support from the company?
Samsung models that currently receive update support – July 2025
Samsung improved its update policy with the Galaxy S24 series introduced in January 2024. The three models in this series will receive Android, One UI, and security updates for a full seven years. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 series, launched earlier this year, also benefits from the same update policy. With this approach, Samsung aims to provide users with longer-lasting and uninterrupted support.
