New information has emerged for the first products equipped with Apple M3 processors. The date for Macs with M3 is slowly becoming clear. Here are the details…
Apple, which powers its own processors, is continuing its work for the M3 processors. New details about the processor, which has been exposed to leaks for a long time, are beginning to emerge. Some reports suggest the processor may be delayed a bit. Here are the details…
Apple M3 has a 12-core processor and an 18-core GPU
Many sources were saying that the Apple M3 processor would be released this year. Recent information suggests that production could start towards the last quarter of this year. So much so that TSMC, which produces Apple’s chips, can’t promise production for the M3 Mac until 2024.
On the other hand, looking at the latest information, the expected processor will have significant upgrades compared to the M2. According to Mark Gurman, known for his leaks, Apple is testing an M3 chip set with a 12-core processor and an 18-core GPU. The new processor, which is expected to power the Mac and iPad, will be produced with a 3nm architecture.
Gurman states that the first Macs with the Apple M3 processor will take the stage in the first half of next year. It is known that 3nm processors will be featured in MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac and Mac Mini products. Rumors suggest there will be four molds allowing for a 40-core structure in 3nm processors. It’s worth reminding that the Apple M1 processor is 8-core, while M1 Pro and M1 Max processors are 10-core.
iPhone 15 may also be delayed
While there is no information yet, it is important not to forget that the iPhone 15 family may also be delayed. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro family will have A17 processors in a 3nm architecture. These processors will also be produced by TSMC. TSMC’s delay of its 3nm production seems like it will cause a major problem for Apple.”
