Amazon Forges a Major Partnership with Saudi Arabia
Officials foresee the infrastructure construction, expected to be completed by the end of 2026, bringing significant dynamism to the region. Especially with Amazon’s recent breakthroughs in cloud computing, it is speculated that the company will establish data infrastructure in many more locations.
Prasad Kalyanaraman, a senior executive at AWS, claimed that their cutting-edge technologies, ranging from smart storage to artificial intelligence, will enhance efficiency in numerous areas.
Additionally, Kalyanaraman emphasized that their investment will significantly increase educational and job opportunities in the country, mentioning their plans to establish specialized structures called Innovation Centers in the Middle East region. These centers are expected to host state-of-the-art technologies. With the establishment of the Amazon Academy in Saudi Arabia, more than 30,000 Saudi citizens will receive free cloud computing training.
