AMD accidentally confirmed new Radeon RX GPUs!

Ana sayfa / News

AMD has inadvertently confirmed that the long-awaited Radeon RX 8600 and RX 8800 graphics cards are in development. The GPUs appeared under the code name “gfx12” in information leaked during an update on the company’s ROCm GitHub page. So what do we know about the next generation AMD Radeon RX GPUs? Here are the details…

In fact, the coding clearly shows that the new GPUs have been developed with the RDNA4 architecture, as the previous generation of the RX 7900 series had the “gfx11” code. The performance of the RX 8800 XT is estimated to be 45% higher than the RX 7900 XTX in ray tracing games. It will therefore compete with Nvidia’s RTX 4080 Super. We could even see it challenging future cards like the RTX 5070. Here are the specs we know about the new GPUs:

Mass production will reportedly begin in December and the new RX 8600 and RX 8800 GPUs will be announced at CES 2025 on January 6. Apart from the new graphics cards, we expect AMD to unveil other gaming and graphics technologies at this event.

In short, AMD’s new RX 8600 and RX 8800 GPUs will be attractive in terms of both performance and price. Do you think these cards will give AMD an advantage in the competition with Nvidia and Intel? Don’t forget to share your opinions with us.
