As we enter the second half of 2024, the battle between AMD and Nvidia has now shifted to FSR 3.1 and DLSS 3.5.
With the update released to gamers last week, AMD’s new generation FSR 3.1 technology has shown what it can do against DLSS 3.5. According to the latest information, FSR 3.1 seems to have a quite successful performance compared to its competitor.
FSR 3.1 is 15% faster than DLSS 3.5
AMD, which aims to offer hardware solutions at a more economical model compared to Nvidia, is trying to close the performance gap with new generation technologies.
The latest version of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology, FSR 3.1, shows a significant performance advantage over its biggest rival, Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 3.5 technology. Performance tests indicate that FSR 3.1’s frame production speed is 15% faster than DLSS 3.5.
As you can see from the above performance values, FSR 3.1 has outpaced its rival significantly, especially in the newly released Horizon Forbidden West. In addition, there is a performance difference ranging from 6% to 12% in games such as Ghost of Tsushima and Marvel’s Spider-Man.
The 15% speed advantage that AMD FSR 3.1 has over DLSS 3.5 indicates that the competition in graphic technologies will intensify even further.
