Intel processors have dominated the computer world since the mid-2000s. Although AMD came to the point of bankruptcy for a while, it entered a recovery process after 2012. In today’s dominance race between AMD and Intel, the balance is still intact. Apple, on the other hand, has started to attract more attention in the list, even though it has not broken this balance. Intel took advantage of AMD’s depression after the ATI acquisition and dominated the processor market. AMD was unable to make a comeback in the PC world until the Zen processor family arrived. Despite AMD’s efforts to gain strength in the market in recent years, Intel seems to have closed the year 2023 with a big lead.
According to Canalys’ report, Intel shipped 50 million processors, AMD shipped 8 million processors and Apple shipped 6 million processors in 2023. In this sense, Intel ranks first in the market with 78 percent share. Against this hard-to-compete market share, AMD processors have a 13 percent market share. Apple, despite being in its own ecosystem, is in third place with 8 percent market share.

Intel processor shipments grew by 3 percent and AMD processor shipments grew by 1 percent in 2023. Apple closed the year with a 4 percent shrinkage in processor shipments.
The computer companies that use Intel the most were Lenovo, Dell and HP. Accordingly, three companies used more than 70 percent of Intel processor shipments. Lenovo has 25 percent, HP 23 percent and Dell 19 percent share in this market.
Lenovo produced 40 percent of the computers with AMD processors. HP is third with 23 percent and Asus is third with 14 percent. Despite this positive picture, Intel ended the year with a 133 percent drop in earnings per share and a 36 percent drop in revenue. This is the biggest financial loss Intel has ever achieved. Intel shipment revenues increased by 2 percent compared to last year and rose to 40 billion dollars. AMD, on the other hand, recorded 6 percent growth in shipment revenues with 8 billion dollars in revenue.
