AMD, with its rising performance, has once again made headlines. The company, which performed well in its 2023 data, seems to have left its longtime rival Intel far behind. According to the latest information available, the company is generating more revenue than ever in the desktop, laptop, and server markets.
How long will AMD’s upward trend continue?
The duration of this trend has become a subject of curiosity. AMD is particularly attracting attention with its increased revenues in the server sector. It is said that the company achieved a market share of more than 30%, showing a full 4% increase compared to the previous year, which translates to revenue of almost 3 billion euros.
AMD’s main rival in the industry, Intel, had a financially difficult year. The company experienced a market loss of a full 10% in the server segment last year, with senior executives attributing this to market contraction and decreasing user demand.
Additionally, while Intel faced delays and faulty production in chip manufacturing, AMD accelerated chip production and began mass production of 5-nanometer chips. Furthermore, the company experienced growth in the desktop and laptop sectors as well. Surpassing its rival’s Core series with Ryzen processors, the firm obtained nearly 20% market share in this area.
