AMD Ryzen AI Max and Max PRO series processors introduced!

At the CES 2025 event held in Las Vegas in the US today, many innovations that the technology world is eagerly waiting for were introduced. AMD also made a splash at the event with the announcement of its new AI-focused processor series, the Ryzen AI Max and Ryzen AI Max PRO series. These processors, which stand out with their AI accelerators and powerful graphics performance, have set a new standard for both individual and professional users.

The Ryzen AI Max series stands out with its superior core and thread count, high cache capacity and powerful graphics units. The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 model comes with 16 cores and 32 threads.

With a boost frequency of up to 5.1 GHz, 80MB cache and AMD Radeon 8060S graphics, it promises high performance in graphics-intensive applications. The AMD Ryzen AI Max 390 model in the same series offers 12 cores and 24 threads.

With a boost frequency of up to 5.0 GHz and 76MB cache, this model is ambitious in graphics processing with AMD Radeon 8050S graphics unit. The Ryzen AI Max 385 is a more affordable option with 8 cores, 16 threads and a 40MB cache.

The Ryzen AI Max PRO series was introduced with features developed for professional users. The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395 model in this series has 16 cores and 32 threads. With a boost frequency of up to 5.1 GHz and 80MB cache, this model offers powerful performance and is designed for graphics-intensive operations with AMD Radeon 8060S graphics.

Other models in the range include AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO 390 with 12 cores and 24 threads. With 76MB cache and AMD Radeon 8050S graphics, it’s ideal for workstations. At a lower level, AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO 385 and Ryzen AI Max PRO 380 models meet the different needs of professional users with 8 core and 6 core options.

Another notable feature of both series is their AI acceleration capabilities with 50 NPU TOPS capacity. The processors prioritize energy efficiency with cTDP ratings ranging from 45-120W. AMD sets a new standard in the industry by offering faster and more efficient solutions for AI applications with Ryzen AI technology
