AMD will rock cheap laptops with new Ryzen processors!

Ana sayfa / Processor

AMD is preparing to add a new chip to its Ryzen mobile processor lineup. Dubbed Kraken Point, the chip design is expected to address the performance segment where Intel dominates in laptops. So what does AMD Ryzen Kraken Point promise?

Kraken Point will use TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and feature a monolithic die design. Unlike AMD’s flagship mobile processors, it will power models built for lower power usage. The company is expected to adopt a design of four efficient and four high-performance cores.

The biggest advantage of the Kraken Point chip, which will feature Zen 5c cores, will be its compact design and low energy demand. AMD will prioritize high-performance Zen 5 cores in these processors. Thus, there will be no loss in performance.

American automotive industry in crisis due to AM radio

The automotive industry is in turmoil! The AM radio dispute lawsuit has started in the US automotive industry! Here are the details...

On the graphics side, Kraken Point is expected to be based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. It is rumored to have a relatively smaller but efficient iGPU. It is reported that this iGPU will contain 4 WGP (workgroup processors). For comparison, the RX 7000 series has 16 WGPs.

The new iGPU is said to be a step ahead of integrated graphics in budget mobile processors, but not as powerful as flagship models. This will especially affect the gaming performance of budget-oriented laptops.

AMD will offer a hybrid core configuration and a new iGPU at Kraken Point. This means it will be a direct competitor to Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 processors. Ryzen models based on the new chip are expected to be introduced later this year.
