With the arrival of summer, some gamers’ habits seem to have changed. Dave the Diver, an underwater adventure game developed by independent producer Mintrocket, has achieved an interesting success. According to Steam, it has reached 1 million sales just 10 days after its release.

Released on Steam on 28 June, Dave the Diver quickly rose to the top of the platform and caught the attention of gamers. The indie game attracted a lot of attention on Twitch and YouTube, reaching 66 thousand concurrent viewers on Twitch. It also broke its own record with 98 thousand concurrent players on Steam.
Dave the Diver, which has very simple gameplay, offers players the opportunity to explore the deep sea during the day. During the day, players adventure at sea, while at night they run a sushi restaurant. Presented as a 2.5D pixel art game, the production attracted attention with its charming style and simple gameplay.
Developer Jaeho Hwang commented that they are still at the beginning of the launch process. He stated that being played by 1 million people in 10 days is a great motivation as an independent developer.
Dave the Diver is currently available for Windows PC via Steam. However, it will be available on Nintendo Switch later this year. The Steam price for the game is $17,99.
