Big update on the way for Fallout 4
Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 will receive a major free update on April 25th across all platforms. The update will make it possible to play the beloved sci-fi action game on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC and Steam Deck.
The update will upgrade Fallout 4 to Xbox Series and PS5. Bethesda said it will add performance and quality mode options for faster load times, higher resolution and 60 FPS on next-gen consoles. The company will also provide stability fixes and bug fixes on the consoles.
The update for the PC version of the game will add widescreen/ultra-widescreen support. Bethesda also announced some updates to modding tools for content creators. Issues with logging in using the game’s Japanese and Chinese languages will also be resolved.
To celebrate the new update, Bethesda will release the Creation Club mode and many items for free for players. Fallout 4 will also be available on the Epic Games Store alongside Steam. The game will also be playable on Steam Deck after the update.
