Google removed its beloved feature in Android 14?

Ana sayfa / News

In December, alongside Android 14 QPR1, Google officially introduced “Battery Information” on Pixel devices. However, with the stabilization of the Android 14 QPR2 Pixel update earlier this week, the Battery Information menu was removed. Here’s what happened…

Pixel users could access certain information such as manufacturing date and cycle count by navigating to Settings > About phone > Battery information. Under technical details, there was a note stating, “Due to pre-shipment quality checks, the cycle count may not be zero at initial use.”

Users expressed their satisfaction with the newly introduced battery information menu. However, Google removed the Battery Information page with the stabilization of the Android 14 QPR2 released earlier this week. When this happened during the beta phase, people assumed it was a mistake and reported it to Android.

Windows’ annoying keyboard feature is coming to Android

Sticky keys, the most annoying keyboard feature in the Windows operating system, are coming to Android! Here are the details...

Google categorized the issue on Monday, March 4th, as “We are enabling this page only on Pixel 8a and later versions, so development is appropriate for this purpose.” The new feature was also removed from Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 and Android 15 Developer Preview 1.

Google’s removal of a feature that had been stable for three months sparked a reaction from users. Some argued that it should remain available as long as there were no accuracy issues with the cycle count.
