Google has released a small update for Android 14 Beta 5, just a week after the previous beta. With Android 14 Beta 5.1, the company aims to fix various issues reported by users over the past week.

The new Android beta update with the build number UPB5.230623.005; It was offered to all Pixel devices that received Android 14 Beta 5, including Pixel 4a, Pixel 5, Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. It is expected to come to devices of other brands in the following process.
According to the release notes, Beta 5.1 fixes an issue that caused some devices to stop detecting the SIM card when Fixed Dialing Number (FDN) was enabled. It also fixes an issue with disconnection on networks using 5G technology.
With the update, Google stated that it solved the bug that caused the home screen to display blank after unlocking on some devices. In addition, the live wallpaper was temporarily disabled due to the performance problems experienced by the Pixel Fold on Android 14.
The update, which is about 25 MB in size, will take about a week to reach all users. Users who want to install Beta 5.1 faster can install the beta software manually.
The incremental update for Android 14 allows Google to fix bugs ahead of a stable release later this year. The company reports that beta versions may experience performance issues and crashes.
