As Google is counting down to the general release of Android 14, beta testing of the new operating system is still in full swing. However, Android 14, which is expected to show its face during the summer months, continues to encounter some issues.
New YouTube update causing errors on Android 14
After an update to the YouTube application, it was discovered that the Library section of Android 14 crashes when accessed. It appears that visiting the Library tab in the latest version of YouTube on Android 14 Beta 4 and Beta 3.1 results in the application freezing.
After installing version 18.27.35 of YouTube, which was released last night, when users go to the Library section, they first encounter a circular loading indicator and then the application crashes. It should be noted that this problem did not occur in Android 13.
The Home, Shorts, Subscriptions, Search, Settings, and other sections of the app are not affected by this issue. However, it prevents users from accessing their browsing history.
If you are an Android 14 Beta user, there is an alternative way to access your playlist. After tapping on your account icon in the top right corner, you can navigate to ‘Your Channel‘ and ‘Playlists‘ to reach the lists you have created and the videos you have liked.
Hopefully, Google will resolve the YouTube crash issue on the Android 14 Beta version shortly, even before Monday. What are your thoughts on the crashing issue on Android 14? Feel free to share your opinions with us in the comments section.
