OPPO has officially started the countdown for the distribution of the ColorOS 14 update, based on Android 14, which was introduced to users last month. The new version, promising a more stable and improved performance compared to ColorOS 13, is reportedly coming soon to a popular model.
OnePlus Ace 2 Pro gets ColorOS 14 based on Android 14
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, released in August, has begun receiving the Android 14-based ColorOS 14 update as the beta process gradually concludes. It’s worth noting that smartphones receiving the patch should be running version 13.1.1.552. Additionally, the Genshin Impact Edition of the same model can also experience the new build.
Notable features and improvements with ColorOS 14 include:
- Upgraded Trinity Engine: Promises higher performance.
- ROM Vitalization: Prepares to offer significant convenience by compressing application and file data. The company claims it can save up to 20 GB of storage on an average smartphone.
- Picture Keeper: Enhanced privacy features, allowing extra permission requests for accessing specified photos and videos on Oppo smartphones.
- Aquamorgraphic Coloring System: Enables the selection of the most suitable color tones for the time of day in the status bar and on-screen content.
- New Smart Touch: Enables the selection of text, images, and videos from local and third-party applications, collecting the chosen content in File Dock for later use.
- File Dock: Functions as a clipboard, allowing you to store selected content for later use.
- Smart Touch Synchronization: Allows Oppo devices to sync, enabling the use of content saved on Oppo Pad, for example, on an Oppo smartphone.
- Snapchat Integration: Tight integration with Snapchat, including the addition of a Snapchat widget for quick access to the platform.
