Google’s Android 16 version, which it plans to release in June 2025, comes with significant interface changes. Leaked screenshots revealed radical innovations, especially in visual design. These changes are expected to be introduced at the Google I/O 2025 event to be held on May 20-21.
Android 16 is here with its new interface design
The first public beta version of Android 16 was released in January, but only technical innovations were included at that stage. Visual innovations came into play with the fourth beta version.
A user managed to view the new interface details on the Pixel 9 Pro model by activating some hidden features in this version. It is not yet clear whether the changes will be exclusive to Pixel devices.
The new version will focus more on home screen personalization. For example, users can now customize application icons according to three different shapes. In this way, the home screen can be given a more different and personal look.
In the Settings menu, more prominent section dividers, colorful icons, and redesigned sliders stand out. In addition, the blur effect is used in many parts of the operating system with Android 16. This effect provides a more modern and layered look, especially in areas such as the password entry screen and the application list. Notification icons have also been redesigned.
The new version will take Google’s Material You design approach even further. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
