As is the case every month, Android security updates have begun rolling out this month. But this month will be a first. Android 16 July 2025 update released for Pixel devices
Monthly updates are crucial for Android users. Originally released by Google for Pixel devices, the update is now being released by other companies like Samsung. Now, the July security update, the first monthly update for Android 16, has been released.
The patch released for the Pixel 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, and 9a, states “No Android security patches.” The special bulletin for Google devices also states “No Pixel security patches.”
The released update includes two fixes: a fix to improve smoother visual experiences in apps like Android Auto, and a fix to improve Wi-Fi connection stability and performance under certain conditions.
