Android 16 comes with ‘Live Updates’, a feature that significantly improves the user experience. So far, the Android operating system has not had functionality similar to iOS’s ‘Live Activities’ feature, but Android 16 is expected to address this shortcoming.
Android 16 improves user experience with Live Updates feature
On iOS, notifications called Live Activities provide continuous updates of statuses such as flights, carpooling, deliveries or sporting events. Such notifications appear on the iPhone’s dynamic island and lock screen and can be easily tracked. In previous versions Android, such information was often cluttered and annoying, as users had to receive multiple notifications to receive constantly updated information.
