Eric Migicovsky took the opportunity to open source PebbleOS through his newly founded company Core Devices. In a blog post, he announced that his team has managed to compile and run PebbleOS on real hardware.
Migicovsky also shared an image showing the operating system running on a test motherboard with a small, monochrome display. ‘It will be a Pebble almost like you remember, but now with open-source software that you can modify and improve,’ he said in a statement.
