The Stelato brand, under the umbrella of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), a joint venture between Huawei and BAIC, has shared official images of its first station wagon. The Stelato S9T, introduced today, is scheduled to go on sale in the Chinese market this fall.

The Stelato S9T is built on the platform of the brand’s current sedan, the Stelato S9. The new model is painted in a green color the brand calls “Wonderland Green.” The design of the vehicle, previously spotted on the streets of China under camouflage, is largely similar to the S9.

The front fascia features Stelato’s signature “Galaxy” headlight design, multi-spoke wheels, chrome-plated window frames, and side skirts. The door handles are also discreetly designed. Another distinctive feature is the new “Nebula” shape of the rear taillights.

The roofline, which slopes downward after the C-pillar, symbolizing the transition to a station wagon, is another design detail that distinguishes it from the S9. The “S9T” designation on the lower right rear panel emphasizes the model’s identity.

The new S9T comes equipped with roof rails. Lidar systems on the front fenders and roof indicate that this model will also feature Huawei’s Qiankun ADS advanced driver assistance system. This system is notable for its autonomous driving support solutions.

While engine and battery details have not been officially announced, options similar to those offered on the Stelato S9 are expected. The S9 model offers rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive all-electric (BEV) options, as well as extended-range (EREV) variants.

These variants offer a range of up to 816 kilometers with 100 kWh batteries. Furthermore, EREV versions powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine can reach a total range of up to 1,355 kilometers.

Details regarding the S9T’s performance and range options are expected to be released in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the Stelato S9 is reportedly the sales leader among new energy sedans priced over 300,000 yuan in China, with 4,154 units sold in June alone. The S9 is currently available in six trim levels, ranging from 309,800 yuan to 449,800 yuan.

Whether the Stelato S9T will achieve the same success will be determined after it goes on sale in the fall. However, Huawei-backed advanced driving technologies and long-range options could allow this station wagon to secure a strong market position.
