Apple’s iPhone 15 series, unveiled on September 12th, is currently in the pre-order phase in Europe and will soon be available to users. During this process, several unknown features about the smartphones have come to light, and recently, a new one has been added.
New feature to protect battery health in the iPhone 15 series
As known, the batteries of smartphones degrade over time. This also applies to Apple‘s iPhone models, and it appears that the iPhone 15 series, introduced last week, will feature a new battery health feature.
According to a report by MacRumors, the iPhone 15 series will have a new battery health feature. When users activate this feature, they will have the option to stop charging their phones when the battery level reaches 80%.
Firstly, it should be noted that this feature in the series is different from the existing Optimized Battery Charging feature, which charges the battery up to 80% and slows down the aging process of the battery, optimizing the remaining 20% based on user routines. In contrast, the new function will never allow the phone’s charge level to go above 80%.
