Apple is gearing up for an exciting new product launch. The Beats Studio Pro, a wireless over-ear headphone, is slated for a July 19th release, as Myke Hurley revealed on the popular Apple-focused podcast “Connected”. According to Hurley, the insider information comes from an anonymous source with a solid track record, having previously disclosed accurate details on the Beats Studio Buds+ earbuds.
The new Beats Studio Pro in a Nutshell
Our insider information points to a selection of four enticing colors: Black, Navy, Sandstone, and Deep Brown for the new Studio Pro. @aaronp613 leaked images suggest that the design closely mirrors the Beats Studio3. In addition to the visual appeal, the headphones reportedly boast several enhancements, including a transition from micro-USB to USB-C for charging.
The additional enhancements include upgraded microphones, optimized sound profiles, Android-compatible features like Fast Pair and Find My Device, and a new carrying case. And for those who prefer traditional connections, they’ve included a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Like its predecessor, the Studio Buds+, the Studio Pro is likely to flaunt better active noise cancellation and an extended battery lifespan.
Price point and further developments
An early sales listing hints at a retail price of around €399 for the Studio Pro in Europe, putting it in the same price bracket as the Studio3. Thus, we might expect a similar pricing of around $349.95 in the US market.
Early signs of the Studio Pro have already popped up in the macOS 13.4 code and an FCC filing, but Beats has yet to make an official announcement. These headphones could serve as a much-needed upgrade to the Studio3, which Beats launched in 2017. As the potential July 19 launch date approaches, we’re excited to share more details with you.
