Apple A17 Bionic chip’s Geekbench scores leaked

It is claimed that the Geekbench performance scores of the A17 Bionic chip, which is expected to be used in the Pro and Pro Max models of the iPhone 15 series, have been leaked. If the leaked data is correct, the A17 Bionic chip looks like it will be more powerful than its successor. Apple A17 Bionic chip will be manufactured with TSMC’s 3nm technology.

Apple A17 Bionic is far ahead of its competitors

According to the leaked information, Apple will double its performance with the newly developed A17 Bionic chip. The chip (if the leak is true) managed to reach 3986 points in single-core tests. The Geekbench single-core performance score of the A16 Bionic processor was recorded as 1879. The A17 Bionic processor shows a significant increase in single-core performance compared to the A16 Bionic processor.

The chip’s multi-core performance was shared as 8841. The multi-core performance score of the A16 Bionic processor was recorded as 5307. A17 Bionic comes with a 43 percent performance improvement in multi-core score compared to its previous model.

Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the A17 Bionic also managed to make a difference from its competitors. The single-core score of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 model in GeekBench 6 is 1953. Also, the processor’s multi-core score was recorded as 5449.

So what else has been leaked for the iPhone 15 series? The iPhone 15 lineup is expected to be introduced in September. Rumors so far suggest we can expect a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port on all of the iPhone 15 models, and the Dynamic Island is going to be available for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in addition to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Pricing on the iPhone 15 models is expected to remain the same, with the standard entry-level 6.1-inch device starting at $799 and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus starting at $899.
