Time to say goodbye to iPhone X: Apple adds three iconic devices to vintage list!

Ana sayfa / News

Apple has stamped its mark on the tech world by adding three significant products, including the iPhone X, to the vintage status. By adding these products to the vintage list, the company informs users that their devices will now receive limited support. The primary purpose of this move is to encourage users to upgrade to new devices. Additionally, Apple is doing this to reduce service and maintenance costs for older products and to use the company’s resources more efficiently.

Apple has announced that it has added the iPhone X, 1st generation HomePod, and AirPods to its vintage list. All three products were originally highlighted as significant devices introducing the company’s new technologies. Although some users still use them, unfortunately, they are now considered old.

According to Apple’s support site, a product is classified as vintage 5 to 7 years after it is discontinued. Products in this status can still be repaired by Apple, but only as long as parts are available.

Cheap model coming for Apple Vision Pro

Apple may develop a cheaper model for the Vision Pro, which attracts great attention with its quality but is difficult to access its price.

Actually, adding a product to the vintage category could soon be seen as a sign that it will soon be obsolete and moved to the obsolete products list. Products in this status receive no service and original parts are not supplied for repairs.

When Apple launched the iPhone X in 2017, it introduced a major innovation by removing the home button and transitioning to a fully screen design. The iPhone X, one of Apple’s most important modern iPhones, continues to influence the design of today’s iPhone 15 series and beyond.

AirPods were an indicator of Apple’s serious entry into the wireless headphone market. Launched in 2016, the headphones proved that Apple could innovate outside of phones and computers.

The 1st generation HomePod, released in 2018, received mixed reviews due to its excellent sound quality and high price tag. With the release of the more affordable HomePod mini a few years later, HomePod sales declined further, and Apple discontinued production in 2021. Last year, they introduced the redesigned HomePod 2.

Which of these devices do you use, and are you considering getting the newer versions?
