End of the road for the first iPhone SE
iPhone SE was a compact 4-inch phone that aimed to deliver premium iPhone features like the A9 chip and 12 Megapixel camera in a small, affordable form factor. Starting at $399, the SE was a popular choice among those who missed the older generation of small-screen iPhones.
Five years after it was discontinued, the first model is now described as “vintage” by Apple. Apple usually adds products that are 5-7 years old to its vintage list. This means the end of technical service and official support.
However, it should be noted that repairs are still ongoing through Apple or authorized services, depending on parts availability. It’s just that the company is no longer officially supporting the iPhone SE, and users may be left in the lurch in case of any malfunction.
