In recent years, the number of users wanting to switch from one operating system and ecosystem to another has been increasing, driven by the rapidly evolving benefits of technology. Some users may want to transition from iOS to Android, while others from Android to iOS. With a new feature introduced in the Google Photos application, transferring all your photos to iOS during the switch has become easier than ever. Here are the details…

This new tool, discovered by the Data Transfer Initiative, allows Google Photos users to seamlessly transfer all their photo and video data to iCloud Photos. The feature is expected to be rolled out within the next week.

Apple has already allowed users to transfer their photos to Google Photos for some time. Now, this process has been reversed. Apart from having sufficient storage space in Google Photos, there are no other prerequisites for the transfer. After the upcoming update to Google Photos, you’ll be able to transfer all your photos and files to iCloud Photos with a single tap.

Supported file types include JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, most RAW files, as well as video formats like MP4, MOV, M4V, MPG, and MKV. As long as your files are in these formats, all your files will move to iOS during the transition.

According to information from Google, the process may take up to a week to complete, including the rollout of this feature. Finally, it’s important to note that child accounts, corporate accounts, or accounts with Advanced Protection enabled are not included in this process.
